Looking at a couple 2011 F350's w/6.7 and was wondering what to watch for or if it would be better to skip to 2012? Any first year issues/teething problems?

Thanks,
Mark

I'm not a tech but a very few had cylinder head valve issues, apparently there were not hardened correctly during manufacturing and can break off in cylinder. Some turbo issues, relatively minor as well. I have a 12 and love it. It may be the new 7.3.

The valve issues were only on the C&C trucks as well.

Where there any teething problems with them or are they essentially the same 2011 & 2012? Thought there were turbo and shift solenoid issues? Just getting a feel for the water before I jump. Lots of diesel experience just none involving the 6.7.

Thanks.

Hi Guys
Don't be too worried about this 6.7, I have 324000 km on my may 2010 built, I can.t say enough about this superduty, this is my third 1 ton and it's the best by far.
Goes to the bush every day, never let me down

I have 2011 bought in September of 2010. 125,000kms so far. Towing 30' travel trailer and dump trailer with skid steer. The truck has held up to everything I could throw at it so far. With empty sled deck I average 12.6L/100km at 120km/hr. Fully loaded at the same average speed economy falls off to 17L/100km. Not as much power as my previous heavily modified Cummins, but has also never let me down.
