I will take that beer. News this morn says the light crude is starting to evaporate. When this is over the gulf will be in great shape. No sleep loss here.

you still think this way now. never seen crude evaporate as such, gulf sure looks like it's in great shape and your getting lots of sleep.

Just saw on CNN tonight that BP lied YET AGAIN!!! New figures estimates that the flow of oil is the equivalent of 1 Exxon size spill every 5 DAYS!!!! (40,000 barrels per day - roughly 8 times what they said initially of 5,000 bpd) until the cap was installed last week, now that figure has been cut in half. This has been going on for 50 days! 43 of those days without a cap.....so an oil slick 8.5 times the size of the Exxon, no wonder BP didn't want to release the true figures...... Sh!t happens BP, you took a risk and now you take your lumps like a man, own up to it and stop lying, the truth comes out eventually and it looks 10 times worse when you lie about it. This just goes to show that they knew all along how bad it was, which is why they tried to downplay it from day 1. Hope the chairman is fired over this - he should have already been canned IMO for spoon feeding the BS to the public from the get-go.

Oil is washing up on shore all over the area, largely in places that they said it never would, let alone before they have even stopped the leak :eek::eek:, now its moved way past what they said and will be impacting the area for decades.

Millions of animals have been affected. Due to restrictions, clean up workers in the area can only work 2.5 hrs out of an 8 hr shift by law, so little to no production on the clean up side of things. This will be a mass kill off of huge amounts of species and reefs as the oil continues to coat things in its path.

yep.... looks like the gulf is going to be in great shape when this is over hey burndown?

oil companies a few years back had to have backup plans for worst case scenarios, they don't now, costs money. bp will run on this one, only time will tell. the class action law suits will put them to there knees real fast. thus the big payouts to top executives.
