The AVALANCHE IS HIGH....

They were Sledding up the North Blue ...here in Blue River

I have NO More Info. at this time....

The Group is staying in Valemount.

One Person Dead

What was told to me....

Three went up to " Paradise " made it through the Avalanche Shout , and then went through the Medows and on the way to the back....

One was ahead and set off a small Avalanche and came down with small Avalanche ....the Sled flipped and pinned Him underneath....

By the time the other Two got to Him and dug Him out.....It was to late....

My Sympathy goes out to His Family...

I want to say a sad goodbye to one of my good long time buddies and original riding partner who had shown me the ropes on the hills and took care of me when i was learning....always gave a smile and had an open house and a warm pat on the back........
He was lost today in a avalanche ... and will be horribly missed by all of us.
