Yes this will give the Team Blue guys that want to stay loyal an opportunity to do that. Sounds like the calibration is spot on and the ski's work better than the Cat. Should be a fun sled.

In them hills.
This is gonna gut snowmageddon for Cat dealers.
And rightfully so.

3 year warranty vs 1 with cat.
Really a no brainer.

Glad to see yamaha back in the 2stroke game.
Can you get in season sleds I wonder???
And when will the company stop piggy backing off of cat???

I suppose with Cat purging their dealer network, this is going to make the monorail 2stroke available to a lot of people that no longer have a Cat dealer nearby.

The way I see it, it is a cat motor. If Yamaha built the motor, it would be blasted as the primary selling feature.

And they actually say it is an ALPHA 1 and the only difference is ski's, its blue and snow flap, with a little different fuel mapping. This is good on Actic Cat to move numbers by branding under two names

Wondering if Textron is planning on selling Cats snowmobile Division to Yamaha

Wouldn't that be just like the old sidewinder?
Congrats Yamaha for doing practically nothing... not even their own 2 stroke.... I bet they will be a couple of thousand dollars more than cat.

I was hoping they would have put the sidewinder engine in there. Make it at least part yamaha.

It’s essentially the same machine with better warranty. Like Chev vs GMC. I’m so confused as to why they would do that.
