Looking at buying a xm , blk-blk 163 snowcheck.

Dealer said it got some cosmetic damage and is fixing it.

Brp came back with 10 % off and a 3 year warranty ( cause the guy got the 4 year transferred to his other sled )

Dealer says 13500 including Gst ( I think the pdi ect is extra ) full of gas and oil.

Still seems high to me tho.

Had did u other guys pay round about for urs. ????

sent while I should be drinking twisted teas

I was 13500 plus gst. So 14175 out the door. Not the lowest I'm sure but I have a great dealer. That's a x model 163 e start and flat black. 4 yr warranty.

1000.00 more then what some are asking for last years with some miles on them. Try and work them a little more if you can but still take the deal.

So that is $12,860 for the sled + GST which seems about $1500 less than the average snow check price.

I'd work him a little for the PDI, etc.. But if he won't budge it is decision time.

What is the cosmetic damage?

Some of the sleds came out of the crates with damage from some mounting hardware. it poked holes in the belly pan by the exhaust. For 13500 out the door take it and buy the new plastic and fix it. My 163 was 14700 out the door but a $500 store credit which was easily spent on a can, tarp and gas can.

Not bad stuff for a $500 store credit? That's $800 retail value.

Thought that the dealerships / BRP normally take care of the damage. My snow check had some damage & they just took care of it.
Said they would have given me a different sled if they couldn't get the parts to fix it in time.

YOu should be able to talk them into fixing all damage before you take possession. BRP or their insurance co. would normally take care of the damage.

Crate damage is alot more common than one would think. When there is crate damage the dealer puts in a predelivery claim to BRP. They have now started requesting pics of the damage. They will pay for all repairs within reason. If you have a scrape on the bottom of the front frame member they will not replace the frame. They may if it is punctured or bent. Usually a scrape on something super major means the customer gets a free skid plate to cover it up and it seems this is usually on the dealers wallet. Crate damage sucks because nobody wants there new sled tore apart before they get it obviously but really it is just luck of the draw.
