Only starts if we unplug the headlight harness
Anyone experience this?
The hood was removed to do some work on bent parts from last season but no wiring or anything was touched other than to remove hood.

Do you have a battery or pull start? Does it shut off if you plug in the headlight once running?

Could there be a short to ground somewhere? Pinched wire? Strange. If that we're the case, you'd think it would be fused.

Thinking that as well CJR. We haven't found anything yet
Thanks for the responses guys. If we can get it into a dealer in the morning I'll let you know what they find

Sounds dumb, but remove the headlight bulb.
Have seen in the past were the reflector broke loose and welded across.
This caused a dead short.

simple, and makes sense, sometimes the simplest things are those that we overlook.

when you removed the hood - did you accidently break off the little nipple on the side of the electronic box - where the hose connects to it. ?

my 2 cents worth

The first time I had my 2013 apart to take out the foam and get 'er riding ready, I bent a couple of the pins in the male connector putting it back together. Had some funny codes and limp mode.

I see you are in the dealer's hands, that is good.

Doo let us know if the ECM is the culprit!

Its been Confirmed that it was the ECM.
But apparently the only ECM in canada is at a dealership in St George's NL
He is buying it himself and flying it to Edmonton and BRP will reimburse him

Now that sounds like a good dealer wow!! You don't get that service very often. Wish vehicle dealers were this willing to please customers.

I bent a couple pins too when I had the hood off. Glad I was smrt enough to not get rammy and got out my dentist mirror... No codes so far...
