It never actually turns off, just doesn't kick in right away with it selected off, if you really spin the tires it kicks on automatically with it selected off

There's a button for traction control. Not for skid or stability control or whatever you want to call it.

OK, I always turn it off in 4x4, never really tried it in 2x4. With it off in 4x4, everything seems to work normal.

I thought the 2013 3500 status would have been updated yesterday, with some crazy april fools story about badgers running amok in the factory or something. Instead, still no info.

on my hemi 1500, in 2wd trac control off, if you take off and are spinning and hit some water or gravel and it realllly spins the tires i find it will kick in, tire wearing blacky leaving burn outs on hot dry pavement it wont.

still better than gm's wholy hell they have nanny sensors. At least the 1500s do, my 2008 gmc was a joke. Torque management, stable trac, traction control, damn thing was a gutless piece. I dont fry my tires every light or drive like a huge a-hole but frick just pushing the truck a little bit to get somewhere it was just constantly kicking sensors on.

At least with the GM, as much of a heap that the GMT900's are, EFILive fixes a good majority of those issues..... Good luck with the Ram, unless you like Diablo and limp mode.

This may explain the absence of the 3500....

"...That includes 6,143 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks made from January to March of this year, which have potentially fire-prone engine compartments. In an April 5 filing, Chrysler said a fire broke out under the hood of a prototype Ram 3500 vehicle during testing in February at the company's proving ground in Chelsea, Mich. As result, Chrysler engineers discovered that the engine cover used in the trucks can trap too much heat on the passenger side of the engine. They also found that the engine compartment can overheat if the engine cover is positioned incorrectly after service. "Either may result in an under-hood fire," the company's filing with NHTSA said. Chrysler said it will begin to notify customers and dealers of the problem by the end of May. Most of the affected vehicles are still in dealers' hands, the company said. For the recall, Chrysler will replace the engine cover with a new batwing-shaped shield."

Still AWOL? Guy on TV was pretty proud of the 30000lbs rating.

I seen a 2013 2500 longhorn at the saskatoon sneak peek. all white, no gold, chrome bumpers. Headlights and grill caught my attention and i seen the big long horn badge, not sure if it was a diesel (probably was) or a hemi.

Plenty of 2500s floating around, and just recently a handful of 3500s in the US. Haven't seen any that made it to Canada yet though...

Finally got three 2013 3500s here at my local dealer. Crew Cab SLTs, but still 2013s. I was seriously looking at a 2012 3500 Mega Cab Laramie last week, but decided to hold off, likely for a 2014. Order bank opens soon!

We have a diesel 3500 dually and a 3500 hemi in stock now. Looks like Dodge musta hired a Ford engineer, trucks now have a Ford front end and 18" tires.
