Have a new 2011 and getting around 15.2 total fuel economy unloaded with both highway and city driving. Co worker has an 08 and claims he's getting near the same and lower sometime. I call bs. Anyone with an 08 give me the truth. Other snowandmud topics suggest he's full of it!

Thats pretty good mileage out of a stock truck...that would be about 850km to a 100l tank...most I drove were lucky to get 650km/tank if you drove it right. Lots of guys getting this kind of mileage or better out of the F-350 but most have a tuner and egt deletes done...You must have got a good one.

It's the new engine. They are all hitting 15L/100km. Think ford has a good engine here and the power is nice too.

Hi guys
I am a Ford diesel tech and work on and drive these trucks every day,the 6.4l usually averages around 14mpg,the 6.7l is consitently returning any wheres from 17 to21 mpg. The 6.4l is realy hard on fuel if you do a lot of short drives and it is continually going into regen to clean the filter.A DPF delete kit and programmer improves the mileage on these considerably.

These Forums are entertaining if nothing else....funny how most of these Fords average 12-14 mpg then you get some jokers who are getting 20+ and can get this kind of mileage no matter how hard they drive or how much they tow...lol. I drive a 6.7L dodge which is a 1 ton and get about 16 mpg ( on a good day)which I think for a 1 ton lifted and big tires is pretty decent but I read the cummins forum and guys are getting 20+ on theirs also and some are towing...lol. like I said entertaining read for sure.

Not True...just read some of these forums...Some guys on here get such good mileage they pull over after a 100km just to let some fuel out of their tank their mileage is so good...lol.

How is that DEF system working in the cold now that we've had a good cold snap. Curious minds like mine want to know!

No issues yet up here in FOrt Mac with mine. Takes a long time to warm up though. I need to get a circulating heater for it and a winter front. -40 sucks.

We have 2 - 3/4 ton Diesels, and a f550 coming in on order. The two three quarter tons are averaging around 85 litres burned to drive 600 km (G.P. up to FSJ, then back with some intown driving) which is right around 16mpg
