A friend of mine has an 08 m1000 with twin pipes, boondocker box a K+N airfilter, shaved head(decked) ported and polished cylinder portsand stingers. He has a bad bogging (burping, poping, farting) above 4500 rpm. He has replaced the wiring harness, switched the boondocker box with his sons m1000 boondocker, which works on the sons sled, his box works on sons sled, sons box does not work on his sled(same symptoms burping etc). He has replaced his powervalves cables and they work, changed his spark plug wireing, checked his reed petals there good, switched his fuel pump with one that works (both his and other fuel pump get 42 psi, he has a press. gauge on fuel line) fuel filters are clean, twin pipes are good (no cracks, breaks, holes) air intake tract is all sealed, injectors and fuel rail was blown out. The strange thing is when he unplugs the boondocker and goes back to the stock computer box it runs good till the upper rpm range where the stock box cant keep up with the fuel demands of the higher flow motor work. He's at a loss to what it is. Any advice would be welcome. Also he wants to know if there is any shops in western canada,(alberta and bc) that have a diagnostic machine that they can plug in to see whats wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
