I have an 05 Summit with a speedo problem,as soon as you start to move the speedo goes to 220kph.
Has anyone had this happen and what do I need to replace?

there's a black cover behind your secondary clutch your speedo cable goes into, take that off clean grease and see what looks like might have come lose and spining in side..allen key to tighten think ..

I just did some reading up on DooTalk and apparently it's a relay that needs changing. Crappy tire for $6. I'll post more details when I get around to giving it a shot. A lot of guys there saying it's a good idea to carry a spare, can cause various electrical stuff to go out...

Well it was more like $20, but it did the trick.

It's a 5-terminal relay, its just above the secondary clutch, just reach under the cowling and you should find it.

Part # AR-143 at NAPA or 23-7066 at Canadian Tire.

I haven't gone for a ride yet, but it stopped acting up in the garage right away, hopefully it's licked.

that relay does that trick. It is about $18 at NAPA but sure does work, about 5 mins of your time. My 04 did that, so we fixed that yesterday and I needed a new battery for my electric start. Now I dont need Kelly to start my sled anymore. LOL
