2016 Boondocker Lynx ds 4100

image.jpg image.jpg Europes equivalent to the T3. Looks pretty cool. Definently got the John Deere theme going on.

Where's the torsion springs that skidoo has been using since '92? Don't tell me they figured out how to build a skid with out them!

Good eye. Looks like a coil over shock mounted horizontal. You can just see it in front of the rear drop bracket.

Wtf! anti stabs and no torsion springs in the rear skid. European team should come to Canada for a season.

Called the PPS suspension. Some local guy in Europe developed it, apparently it is 10% lighter. Was brought into there lineup in 2006. I am sure the developer has some pretty tight patients on it.

Edit... The shocks they run on the Lynx are pretty safisticated compared to a summit x... Electronic dampening control which you can adjust on the fly and separately from the front and rear.

I had friend who imported a PPS skid years ago. Very neat skid and it's actually fairly heavy, not lighter than what we have here unless they've made some changes in the past few seasons. Rides really well. Transfer is about perfect. The key is how long the front arm is. It is a skid that was developed by one of Lynx's Snow Cross racers. I've been trying to see if I can get someone over there to buy me another skid as I want to throw this into a project machine for next season. It's going to be quite pricey with exchange, duties, etc.

the Lynx snocross guy is pauli piippola (pauli piippola suspension)

the euro 'doo versions are heavier but a lot tougher than the north american offerings. and almost double the price.

Yeah heavier...e.g. freeride 146 dry weight is 220kg and Lynx Re (racing edition) 3700=146 dry weight is 222kg but as u know lynx have better suspension so it think that 2kg isnt big price. Best suspension in the world is more important. i have driven 2000km with PPS on this winter and i love it. (with Lynx re 600 e-tek, Lynx re 600 e-tek rs kit and with lynx boondocker 3700)

But some of u have though why lynx is not sold in america...i will tell u. BRP have fear that if they start selling lynx in america then it will make ski doos sales to drop down. so u have to buy your lynx from the europe if u want.
