Let me know if you need anything. Does it still turn over?

They are iron bore so not too bad if you burnt a piston. No need for re-coating at least.

Watch if it has cageless needle bearings on the wrist pin. I know there are 28 needles on my rev, not sure if there all the same. You do not want to drop any down in to the crank case. Good luck and keep us posted.

When you go to take the piston off, seal the case with a rag or something to catch all the needles from the wrist pin bearing. Count them when you get them out, you don't want one in the bottom when you fire it up. I believe there is 28 needles, if I remember correctly. When you put it back together, just put caged bearings back in.

The spark plug was fine and had nothing on it. There was very low compression in that cylinder all of a sudden, and the the sled wouldn't run. That was after riding for a while on lac st anne lake. Have fun with it Bogger, take some pics. Again thanks for the ride and supper last night.

Seal off the crank case with a rag like mentioned earlier and set a magnet under the con rod and it will attract the needle bearings.

It will turn over and we even managed to get it running on the one cylinder but for safety towed it to the pier and trucked it home

Good to know

The brother inlaw is well schooled in rebuilding Ski-don't motors, so he's gonna learn me.....

if this happens again a trick I heard is to close the gap on the spark plug so it cant spark. so there will be no heat in that cylinder, just air, fuel, and oil. then drive it out on 1 cylinder and a pull sled if your in the hills.
