My good pair of gloves I tore the palm out of on Friday, so I was down to using my spare pair. Found a decent pair of rubberized insulated work gloves at the gas station that did the job.
Rode all last week, March 5 - 10. The snow was unbelievable. We had no problem finding bumper and headlight deep snow everyday. Best riding conditions we have ever had in the past four years of riding Valmount in March. Need to get out and ride this incredible snow. Once the few pictures I took...
So we had a cylinder that had some visible scoring when I checked the reeds. Pulled apart the engine, the pots have less then .002" of taper in them but I am not sure how to tell if the pots are hone able , had one tech tell me that they may have a supper hard coating that is only a couple of...
I have been thinking about putting the heavier springs on my 154 XmX. I have rode with the stock springs set at #5. I am 6'2" and 275 lbs before all my gear. Just kinda thinking with the heavier springs could go back down to setting 1 or 2 but not sure it will make much of a difference in how it...
How much do a set of these radios run a person? Just looking into getting setup with radios for our riding group. Nice to be able to communicate with people while on the move or separated.
It looks like alpine has the parts I need. Thank you for the offer Maxwell. It is very apprecated. Some time wrenching this morning and should be back on the snow.
Out in Valemount for a sledding trip, and the T-motion bracket broke on my sled, anyone know of a place to get parts in the area. Got back to town to late to do any calling for parts. If anyone knows or can point me in the right direction would be apprecated.
I usually only have my lunch, water, extra layers, stove, some non life essential emerg supplies in the bag. Don't ride the whoops fast, at my size that poor suspention gets enought of a workout. To fly on whoops would just make it worse. I try to take good care of everything and to not beat...
So is anyone else with these tunnel bags seeing them totally fail. My has two weekends of riding in the mountains on it and the mount has ripped through the bag and is totally trashed. Just wondering if I got a defective one or are a lot of people having this issue? I will be contacting my...
I am planning on making a trip up to Valmount either later this spring or next winter, with my kids. I was just wondering what areas are good for decent riders with little mountain riding experience. We have riden some decent little hills that they have gotten good at traversing. I am just...
I found that I had to adjust my riding style a little bit so that I wasn't trying to force the XM to do what I was wanting. Once I made some minor adjustment, it is like the sled is reading my mind. Point and go. And it will climb up just about anything.
So do you use a schotch Brite pad to take the glaze off your belt? I had been thinking of trying to use some steel wool to see if I can save my first belt for at least a reliable spare. I think that may have been to problem with the first belt, got hyped with the fresh powder I forgot to change...
Hmm we'll that does sound like there could be some real benifits to the extra venting then if some are making that much heat under the hood. Very interesting. I will have to put my digital temperature probe under the hood and run it hard. Just to see what the temperature is like under there. I...
Good to know I have over 600 Km on my current belt. I think that my first belt could have gone longer but I didn't keep it tensioned enough so I got a little slippage and glassed the belt at around the 700km mark. Lesson learned and I am paying closer attention to this one. I won't waste any...
