Well, I am starting the hunt for my first car and it got me thinking, what were other peoples first cars?

I am looking for something like a new Ford Ranger, maybe a Dodge/Gm 1500 or an older "restored truck". Something cool! Haha. Although, I was thinking about a old mustang or something, but thats not very good for winter driving!

So, What was Your First Car?

My first car was a 1969 Dodge Dart, green with white leather interior.Had a 460 in it. It hauled azz.Mint cond. Got it for 700.00,
Had the crank for the sun roof. It was a nice ride.

Mine was a `73 dodge dart custom special with the slant 6 and 3 in the tree. I think the special meant it came with hub caps and a FM radio:D

1976 Ford Pinto 2 door wagon lime green.:thumbsup2: Paid $75 and still had enough money left over to buy beer. She was a check the gas and fill the oil, please kind of machine. Acouple years later it was in a horrific crash which totalled her off. Local paper boy delivering the news paper crashed into the rear quarter panel with his bicycle and insurance adjuster said it was time to let her go.:crying3: True story, I still sometimes wake up in the middle of the night sucking my thumb:shrug:

After a couple sets of rear brakes on mother's '91 ford tempo I was forced to buy my own vehicle. '81 chev scottsdale w/ a 305. Moon roof which you could remove the glass and hang out the roof for shooting coyotes or gophers while on the move. Damn cops gave me a ticket though for excessive noise cause of the headers and blue bottle glass packs. Mmmm that truck brings back a few memories....hehe even the first time at ......

First car was an 83 mustang, and who knows how many since then. For about 5 years I was going through 2-3 cars a year. Buy cheap then chuck them. Now that I have newer ones, I keep them for more than 6 months.

On a serious note, with the price of gas lately, I would consider a smaller sporty car if you have access to a truck to borrow. $60 a week difference in fuel costs between my truck and wifes car.
