water pump question

i have a 07 800 outlander, i can see antifreeze leaking from a small hole behind water pump. does this mean it's shot? are they easy to replace?

The "weep hole" leak is quite common.....the hole is unprotected and mud gets in there and deteriorates the water pump shaft seal.

Do a search over on Aurora Wheelers or Can Am Talk for "weep hole". I had mine done under warrantee.

thanks for the info. do they do this under warranty or is it a recall, as my warranty is done.

You'll have to phone your dealer. That machine had 3 years warrantee from new eh....I bought mine under some sort of promotion and got an extra 6 months....so 42 months warrantee. I'm good until Nov 2010....you may be still under warrantee.
