So I picked this sled up a few years ago from a buddy that works for me from time to time. It was originally purchased by his uncle back in 67. It's been sitting in a barn in Saskatchewan for the last 15 years. The motor pulls over, so it's not seized and the track rolls as well. One of the cooler things about the sled is that he also gave the starter kit that you would've got from Bombardier. It was a canvas bag that came with an extra belt, plugs, oil, and a set of suspension springs. I also got the owners manual and the original bill of sale. I'm gonna strip it down and fully restore it to it's original condition, with maybe the exception of removing the jerry can that's strapped to the side of the motor. I guess about 20 years ago some kids put sand in the gas tank, so my buddies uncle pulled the fuel hose and ran it to that jerry can and they ran it like that for about 5 years before the machine got parked and never used again. I think it's kind of neat to leave some of the history in the restoration. Will post picks of the progress. Any resto tips would be appreciated as well.
