How long to you keep your sled?
Personnaly i generaly replace my own sled every 5 years(seasons), some times less then but never more then 5 years.
Example, i have been sledding since the 70s so not going to go that far. But in 1998 i was on a T-cat 1000 with a 156 track. Traded for the first real imo Ski-doo mountian sled ZX 700 summit with a 151 track(btw first for Doo).
In 2004 purchased an M1 titanium series 900 Cat, 159.
In 2005 was talked into a Doo RT1000 162.
Suprisely held on to it till 2010 for a Yamaha Nytro....current ride.
Basicaly i riding the Nytro for one more season and then ditchin it for a new sled. I'm not brand loyal so who knows what it will be.

running on a 2 year average for me, started with a 1990 indy 5 years ago, 2 years later bought my 07 m8, and next season will be on a 2012 m8....not brand loyal either but I keep getting this deals on cats.......I put on about 3000kms every 2 years so I figure that's a good time to unload....

Depends on the sled, but usually 4 - 5 seasons, sooner if it is a turd. Only kept my 04 Rev 800 for 3 months (had no trackspeed as a 159"), kept the 05 Rev 151 till 07 (2 years) but kept my 07 M1000 for 5 years. I tend to start modifying my sleds after the first season, do it ends up being a money pit when I sell them lol. I don't get to ride as much as I used to due to work, so a 5 year old sled in my house may only have 3000 - 4000 miles on it. Wifey's old 07 Summit 600sdi only has 523 miles now, we just kept it as a backup or for when the kids wanted to go...

about 2-3 years since the mid 80's, but as my family grows and I get older, my current '08 ride may make a ten year reunion ride with me eventually!

It's been kind of random so far but my 2014 XM has 4 years of warranty so I'm thinking 3 seasons on it.

Replacing my sled every year is something i would do if it was a POS, actualy would replace it immediately if it was that bad but in most cases i like building my own personal character sleds.
So replacing the sled yearly isn't the smartest thing for me to do.
I have tried not to mod......needless to say...i can't seem to keep my hands of of them. I even mod the wifes, just because i can. She's always saying "what's that" or "what are you doing to my sled".

Put on only 1100 miles in three seasons with mine so might go another three before letting it go.

Every four years for me, four year warranty on this one so likely four years again, just have not been putting the miles on the mountain sleds last couple years with the good snow at the farm.

4 years for me, had an 07 Phazer Mountain Lite, 11 m8 153, and I will have a 2015 m8 as well, unless something really game changing comes out. Been looking at the doos a bit but probably will buy another cat. I also have a 2013 cat 1100T that I get to ride all year as well so last year and next year my time will be split between my 11 and the 13
