eletrical problems

Hi can any one b able 2 tell me y my yamaha srv 540 keeps running on 2 cylinders to1 and the engine was just rebuilt and has new stator and cdi

well i put 2 new plugs in it then it will run great 4 about an hour then it starts 2 run on 1 cylinder like as if it stops sparking on that cylindetr

had a sled like that ..... did the same thing here it was the coil once it gets warm try your old one out,

maybe loading up with fuel and fouling..

you need to do a couple thing

check compression all cylinders

check spark all cylinders (after it starts acting up)

post a photo of all the plugs after running it

and maybe clean and inspect all the carbs.

need to decide if this is electrical or tuning issue

its one carb and one spark plug is nice and tan and the other is wet and black

i did that its eletrical cause when it stoped running on bolth cylinders the lights stoped working

internaly, wow email powder pusher tomorrow he had the same sled that did this to him fist it was the coil then i believe he had to change to stator out ,,,, if you leave it for a few hour it starts right up again?

i did that still no diffeent im thinking mabe my spark plug coil and there is a few broken wires

ya i did and is there sopoes 2 b a ground wire bolted up with the coil

it allways will start but it will only run on one cylinder unless i put 2 new plugs in

try a new on tommorow new coil , new plugs , new caps . and not the cheapest plugs you can get at canadian tire lol just kidding i shop there all the time il talk to powder pusher ill pm you tomorrow

Fix the wires and try a coil and wires/boots as stated. Had a dirt bike that used to do this very same thing and it was the coil. Got hot and wire separated in coil so the conductivity was shot. Maybe not making enough juice to jump the plug either.
