Road Renshaw of Dec 27th of course . Rode less than 5 min from the cabin, the snow was great, 18-20". Then headed into Blackwater to find untracked snow 18-30" deep, even heading up to the wind tunnel to find deeper snow that fell last night. Heading down it was snowing heavy. Quite easily!! I've done it! It's one of those "Oh ****"! moments. Anyways up Belle for a couple hour look see. Windblown up top but 1-2ft on the East side of the hill. Ran into Ron,had'nt talked to him in a bit, he mentioned he was having a good time and was in for the long haul! Good on him! Not much for pics but i'll post after a couple bevs!!

Posted this in the Valemount thread as well, my BOA laces (wire like laces) snapped last trip and the package isnt supposed to come in until tomorrow afternoon, but I'm leaving at 5 in the morning. Does anyone know off of hand any places from Hinton to Valemount/McBride that would have replacement 'laces' ?

Found some good snow at renshaw yesterday. Today was windy so lots of areas were a bit more wind blown but there was still some good snow to be found! The snowpack seems very low. Lots of open creeks, rocks and trees I've never seen before! It's still early in the season though!

Back from an awesome weekend sleddin with rknight111 and jr highmark( my son) and some of his friends and dads(including machine head)... Renshaw was good powder(1 1/2 - 2 ft) in most places we were in... Much was untouched. Today was bell mtn and had some pow, but no bottom to it... Hopefully the young man Colt will be okay, we helped stabilize him and built wind break and covered him up for the long haul... Endo'd his Polaris and hut his back... They suspect his back might be broken and separated pelvis(which I know lots about).......... Hiways back home tonite were slick and traffic held up due to a vehicle fire just outside Tete Juan junction, and other vehicles in the ditch.

Just got down off renshaw. Parking lot to trail pass cabin was ice. Trail from pass cabin to top was great. Put on 60 miles playing in some untouched powder in the back. Parking lot was packed. Even parking on the road. Great day. Not a cloud in the sky.

No kidding. That's why I'm here during the week. The parking lot at renshaw was like west edmonton mall on Boxing Day.
