my buddy has a 75 JD 300 and we cant get fuel thru the carb .....any help???

Take the fuel line off the carbs, is fuel getting that far, if not plugged hose or inline filter, replace, fuel available, prob is in the carb, possibile:
stuck float, plugged mains and or secondary, take carb apart and spray down with carb cleaner, soak the jets in carb cleaner, make sure float moves freely. have the idle or other set screws been adjust, if so set back to spec. Sounds like an older sled, gas sitting for long period of time turns to varnish, best to fully clean the carb to solve problem and avoid future jetting issues, if plugged/ partially, may cause sled to lean out and fry your cylinders. good luck
