19/52?? Are you sure that right? 19/51 is what was used last year in the 163.
If that is right can you post a pic of the bottom gear please.

A buddy swapped his track on Sunday and that's what he told me. I asked several times and he says yes. I will be swapping mine tomorrow night so I'll see myself then. If he's wrong, I'll roast him on here lol

In 09 154's were not 21/49 from the factory from what I recall. Maybe a dealer swap. They were 19/45. 163 was 21/49. 146 was 21/45.

In 2012 (I would have to confirm the 2011) they went silly low on the 163's with the 19/51. 154's are 19/49 which isn't bad. We used to swap out to a 20/51 in the 154 and 163's to get basically the same gear ratio as the 19/49.

They should still be 19/49 this yea for the 154's. 19/51 for the 163's. I found the stock 163's too low.

im confused .........this means?so many #'s

If you don't know what it all means you should turn over your new 163 XM to me right away...

:)

It is the gear ratios. The top gear is the smaller number, the bottom is the larger number.

Hey general, are you swapping out a 163? If so interested in selling it?

BRP keep gearing down to bandaid their inefficient clutch system, i think.. i like the 2.15/ 2.25 ratio and for boosted sleds i like 2.05 ish thats geared very low already..the sled is in way to low of a gear when cruising the trail to get anywhere!! reving too high i found.
