I've got 4,000 miles on my 09 m1000. Just had the top end rebuilt as a precautionary thing. Wondering what other maintenance I need to do to be ready for the season? I heard clutch springs should be replaced every year - true? Anything else I should get after? Thanks for any help.

Some people say you should stop every 20 min or so to let your belt/engine cool down when you're really pushing them hard - hill climbing or pushing through deep powder. Others say there's no need for that. What do you guys do?

Getting the auto-tune for my 09 m1000's PCV - anyone running one of these? Did it make much of a difference? Pretty stoked - sled didn't run bad, but now I'll be set with perfect mappng for any altitude.

Just reading my owner's manual and note it recommends that I do not use a higher octane fuel than 87 in my 09 m1000. I've got a y-pipe, can, bdx intake and a pcv w/ a custom tune coming - wondering if I should use a higher octane or not? Any advice?
