may or may not be, or the way some of us have set up suspension has been wrong, hopefully this guy' s ideas are right, he sure has a good explanation. i'll try a few things this weekend if i ever get outta here,

So... not bashing here but.... Perhaps rzrgade has a point??? Sounds like steering geometry, in big business safety we call that an engineered problem. Just say'n.
That is my point ,NOT BASHING................It is a fact as i said earlier.Cats have a high COG,and no sway bar with ultra stiff suspension to compensate for this.........This is simply a function of the way the bike was designed. In cerain applications it is a benifit, not in others.........I am simply saying that you can alter a few componets and make ajustments,HOWEVER the geometry of the bike is what it is.
Never the less, try everything and if it works great. I have thousands of miles on Cat bikes and they ALL had that rollover tendancy ..IMO. I hope you can correct it,or get used to it`s little quirks.......Like all bikes have !

May be a few bucks but if these are machines u intend on keeping around for a while then perhaps look into power steering not sure about cats but kbrunless put an aftermarket kit in his older outty i put a unisteer set up in wifes rhino and made a huge difference as when you hit the ruts etc your bars are controllable rather than controlling u the powersteering does so much more than simply making it easier to turn the bars on the trails or in the mud....
jyst a thought i know when first rode a can am pre dps i didnt care for the handling at all coming from grizz 660 and 700 however a few yrs later once equipped with dps it was a different story al together

Larry, i have been doing some checking and what i have found on a few fourms is that there are more than you that complain of that same thing... lots there say it the way there built but there is a solution... that would be a steering stabilizer... so RZR101 is probably right with the bump steer thing... along with being higher of the ground and lower tire pressure....made it real bad...

There is a company that sells direct.. Precsion Steering Stabilizers in the US make the best one bar none out there.. its billet and had adjsutabity on inside turns and outside turns...the instructions will teach you how to set it for different conditions... its really trick cost about 550, i think... but worth it... if by chance you find one of those skinny pen type ones that fit your bike (which i doubt) dont buy it..junk..
now one other stabilizer that is top notch is Elka but not sure if one is made for Cat....

i had one on my 2007 renegade before it got stolen and it does take out 90% of of bumo steer.. you can atually ride faster and more in control.. they are nice... now i have Power steering so i dont need one... the way can-am build there DPS (power steering) they build it so they have the stabilizer feature built in where other PS is buillt different..

It works awesome! I can drive one handed with no worries of getting bar whip. 2 years with no issues. The only issue I found is when it's -20 out it takes a bit for the oil to warm up. It's pretty stiff at first.

thanks1 steering stabilizer will work wonders, but it still dosen't stop the tire rolling under and will be a final solution, i'm wanting to see if there is a better way to set up the suspension, it is a learning oportunity for me, as the old set each shock front and rear the same just don't work on these bikes. as well as the all fout wheel tire pressure being the same. and by the looks of it most of the posters on here so far are doing the same as me. accordiing to neville canams, poopoo's, cowastuki's work so much better like this. hmm how the heck will ya know till ya try something different, maybe the guy who wrote the article may have a better solution. ya see where i'm going.

so neville when yer done telling me it can not be done, you can tell us your set up solutions. when someone tells me it can't be done, red flags go up, pretty much tells me someone has a closed mind, see it almost every winter, on the sled hills. all ya hear is this and that machine is a pos, yet it usually outclimbs the naysayers,

so in conclusion if yer not part of the solution, then yer part of the problem.

Cat does make a sway bar for their machines as an option. Like Larry says you have to be willing to try ,and be aware of what's out there. I chose to not accept that "it is what it is" and did something.

$45 from cat

It's universal you have to fab your own mount or buy one from precision for cat. They make a mount for everything else
Shindy also makes one.
Polaris sucks and I tow can ams through the mud. J/k
