XP Speedo issue?

I noticed at the end of last season that my speedo went from appearing accurate to a very low speed. It seemed intermitant like an electrical issue. First real ride this year and I see the speed is definately lower than actual. Doing 100 by the GPS registers between 50 and 60kmh. I have checked the plug at the case and plug behind the cluster. Any thoughts or is the speed sensor pooched? 08 XP Rev 800R.

Have you cleaned off the magnets that live in the bottom gear center? This requires pulling the chain case cover off.

I have cleaned them now. Here are some before and after pics. I can get 140 on the speedo on the stand. I wont know the rest until I go for a ride.
