it draws more power, not sure how much more noticeable it is. I have never compared the two, but when winching, bigger is usually better, but also winching techniques play a key roll

Compare the gear part numbers between the 2 I can't remember if its the 2500 vs 3000 or the 2000 vs 2500 where one has a plastic gear in it and the other does not.

Bought 2 2500# warns yesterday. The ONLY difference between the winches is the sticker! The 3000 uses larger wiring to the batt. that's it! Best deal was interior off road

I'll never buy another Warn...I've tattered more than a few over the years. I bought a 4000lb Viper 4 years ago....tortured it on the sxs, and it's still going strong. Since then, I bought 3 more, and most of my buddies are running them. They're awesome winches, and way more affordable than Warn.

Ok went with a 3000 warn for mine and a 2500 for the wifes. Straight plug and play for our renegades................. mine worked great first day out :)

I also will not buy another warn winch as i burnt up a 4000 warn on my SxS. Replaced with a superwinch 4500lb with senthitic rope which i purchaced off Amazon.ca for only $425 with everything included. No complaints yet.
