They had some "Self extrication devices" that looked a lot like that for our Army Ambulances way back in the day (The trucks were '78 GMs) Only ever saw one demonstration when we did our 404 training and it snapped the axle. Looks like it works well on the quad though.

now we need something like that for a sled? I have heard of a guy in Sicamous that ties a rope to his track and does the same thing! tracks are expensive if you rip out a piece! lol

Yeah, I read something about a system that involves a thin, wide strap that hooks into the track and winds up ad the track spins....Hafta be gentle on the throttle though.
