What is this for?

I'm putting a new left hand control assembly for the high/low beam/hand/thumb warmer on a 2011 Summit. I cant seem to figure out where this connection goes or if it even does connect anywhere??? Could it just be there in case the sled had electric start?

Yes it is the brake/microswitch.
