Yes that is who it is :D , I don`t ride with him  just ran into him one day at work. I had seen the article in SW and asked if I could take some pics. for our website. Nice guy.
I see a lot of nice sleds at work, have posted a lot in the mods photo album on the Sled Revy site. At the top of page 13 there are a couple of turbo`d phazers, seeing a lot of those now too.

Have a line on a 2003 RX1 for cheap so was kicking around the idea of a turbo, new tunnel, light weight parts etc. Never had any thing to do with a Yammy is there better years than others to mod like this or not. If some of you would'nt mind sharing what these parts cost it would help with which path I should take with this sled. I ride a 2006 rev 800X and I love it but I need to get my wife a sled down the road so if I build a RX1, she can have my "old" sled. Is there good / bad to front mount vs rear mount? I'm about 260# so more HP is easier than going on a diet. I never considered a RX1 / APEX before just due to the cost $14000 +turbo + other add ons, so all said and done I could have bought 2 rev's ,it just was not in the books. thanks for any help , info.

I run an apex turbo it is a rear mount mc express. Not to many sleds keep up at 12 pounds of boost. I snomobile hunters all the time and if we are just going to the gordon sidney to mess around we dont take any jerry cans. If we are riding hard for 8 hours two of us can share one jerry can. I have yet to come across any sled that can keep up to us and is as reliable as a turbo.

cscherer,Turbo68,kgr did any of you fellas install your turbos your self? How hard was it? Is the rear mount better for distributing the weght across the sled? Just curious to here why you pick one over the other? Once you guy's bolt it on you've never looked back ,no messing with it like other hi mod sleds, tunning etc ?

i have the mc rear mount with the rear mount lees heat under the hood little more lag and i think a little more weight but for the most i think its a toss up between the 2 ya one the clutching and jetting are good all you do is turn the boost up when you get to the hills and down when you are at home that is if you are at 15 # in edmonton when you get upit usally about 12 then turn it to 15 then good to go and you keep the hood shut all day long

Had it installed(20 hrs) 1700.00$. Once you get used to riding there is no lag.

this is what happens when you do not use proper torque specs even when it was suppose to be a professional instal.........think about who is installing your equipment before you just drop it off.......:realmad:

Hey cscherer,
What make of machine is that out of? Almost cheaper to buy a new machine with all of that damage. Sorry for your loss.

Curt thats brutal, this is the second time in a few months...no ?

That is what he gets for being a LOSERton fan..;) I believe the first motor he blew up was from loose oil-line.

cscherer aka verylatebetpayer....I told you as others on Snowest did when the first motor cratered to take it to CaptainJackSparrow at Extreme Machines in Sylvan Lake but you didn't listen did you.:nono:

Summitric, cscherer probably can't answer a lot of your questions because he traded his old Ford F250 truck for the sled...:)
