What are the main differences between these two beasts?
What's the better machine for long pulls in the steep and deep?
Thx,

I Don't know anything about mountain climbing but isn't the Apex a trail sled ?

and the nytro is the mountain sled I would think that the Nytro is the one to go for

apex is 20 more hp from the factory. but imo more of a tank than the nytro. all the big hill climb folks seem to be using the nytro now addays

it is was a mtn sled, yamaha has changed there product line to the nytro being there mtn sled and the apex is a crossover chassis and trail sled.

Both designs under boost perform very well, none Boosted on the other hand, they are lacking to say the least.

Think of the nytro as a rev chassis and the apex as a zx chassis, one is rider forward and the other is not so.

I would have to go with the Nytro if the climb was at all technical. But i seen some wicked climbs with some Apex's!

I would have loved to get a nitro, but I got an apex. I just wanted it for my work sled.....but I seem to climb the odd "little" hit or two LOL...just point and shoot!

when it's a turbo does it matter

with over 300 hp, it dont matter....... because your going faster up a hill, than a wedge can go down hill lol! but since mine is set up to climb it sucks going down hills......ask Pistonbroke on that one LMFAO!

I have both sleds boosted and would say the Apex is bigger, heavier but more stable. The Nytro is lighter, more agile but not nearly as stable as the Apex. Both suck to dig out when you get stuck!!Just my 2 cents
