I have an 05 F-350, with 127K on it. I want to change the diff oil this summer, and would prefer not to go to Ford to get my oil.
So..... Is there any good or better after market oils to use, including a moly slip if it's still needed???
Thanks in advance

according to ford service interval the rear diff oil is a lifetime oil and does not need to be changed unless the axle is submerged in water

I agree. It's also a good time to pop the carrier out and stack the clutches so the posi actually works.

Depending on which rear diff is in your truck, it's either 75w140 synthetic, 75w90 synthetic, or 80w90 gl4 premium gear oil......... Add 8 oz posi fluid. Napa or bumper to bumper can supply all your needs :) ........ My alldata is down right now, so can't tell you which, but pm me your serial # and i can tell you which oil should be in the diffs.....

I put 85w140 in any thing with gears.

Can't hurt to have 140 when hot pulling ( my trucks anyways )

And yes each posi bottle us 4 oz so 2 is needed.
