I have a 2005 800 rev. 151" with a big wheel kit. My question has anyone heard or have done a 151 swap with a 154 with still using the original 151 skid? Just wondering how well it would work or if it's worth doing as I'm thinking of upgrading my track from a two inch to a two and a half inch track. Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks

if you are going to swap track find a 163... you will need rail ext. or find a skid ... i went from a 151 too 163 and love it ... i went alittle farther and extended the tunnel aswell and moved the cooler back aswell ( it is alot of work )... i dont think i needed too now that i have used it...

yes you can use 154 track on the 151 skid with your big wheel kit which will pick up the slack, you will have to purchase a set of 2.86 drivers for the main shaft and have them pressed on if the track is a 2.86 pitch, the drivers for the 151 are a 2.52 pitch and the 154 x 2.25 is a 2.86 pitch, I believe the 2.5 is a 2.86 also, as for cooler clearance i dont believe there is an issue but dbl check, call ken at speaciality sleds in edmonton he can answer if you have enough clearance using the stock skid holes.

I was at Martin's West yesterday and they are selling brand new 163 x 2.25 x 16 takeoffs for $500. They are not ported so i have to assume they are off 2011 sleds. Not a bad deal i thought but as sledlift mentioned abit of work to do it properly. These are Campolast track but not sure of the series.

ya go with the 156 2.5 at least....you can run that without rail extentions.i put a 159 from a 06 onto my 151 rails...needed rail extentions, but that was all everything seems to be working fine...tunnel is a little short but thats no big deal

I will let ya know soon. I am going from a 151-2-16 to a 155-2.5-16 on my 06 Rev. Going from 10 tooth 2.52 drivers to 8 tooth 2.86. ..just a bit smaller driver when you doo the math. I have a freedom axle with eight inch wheels for the rear. Not sure yet if I will have to slide the skid back some yet ? But if I doo it will only be an inch. There are holes in the drop bracket for an inch set back and plenty of steel in the front of the tunnel for the new holes. Should be a hoot to ride when done. Dino
