Track Length?

Just trying to decide wich length to go with. I have Always been on a Doo and this year am snow-checking a new cat 800. Just can'e make up my mind between a 153 or 162. My current sled is a 154, my last sled was a 159. Didn't feel the 159 was too long MOST of the time. But I do love how you can throw the 154 around and ditch-bang so easily. I ride at about 8-10k feet. Seems like around here it is over the hood powder 50% of the time and somewhat set-up 50% of the time. Just trying to talk myself into the 162 I guess.
Any of you guys went longer and wish you didn't? Do you notice the extra length that much in the trees and ditches?

Got both! M8 153 and M1000 162. Love them both and if I had to pick between the two lengths, 162 ALL THE WAY. If you are a bigger guy the extra floatation of the 162 is great I noticed that right away and I do not notice any difference in the trees throughing it around and I spend about 85% of the time in the trees! I vote 162!!! Hope that helps.

love my 162, and two of the guys we ride with have 153's one like his better than mine and the other wants my length cause of his turbo, the flotation of the 62 will be around the same as your 54 on account of the narrower track, I am jealous, didn't know 2011 was the last of the m series or I woulda rode the king cat all season

Definitely go with the 162. I have a 153 and regret it. I'm going to end up converting it to a 162 this summer if I dont order a 2012 162. I have rode 153's, 163 summits and the longest was a 174 cat. Only for being 1000km from the mountains mine would be going to 174.

I'm thinking a 153 with the new 2.5" Camo Extreme might be fun. :d:d

i went 153 to a camo extreme 2.5 at 162. I think it was a good choice. My buddy is now switching after trying mine.
