Having a issue with rock bouncing off the tow flap on the truck and chipping the bumper on the truck. I’ve tried rotating the flap so there at a angle. Making sure there is 4” of ground clearance when loaded..nothing seems to make it better. These are similar to the rock tamer flaps. I was thinking of mounting them below and ahead of the rear bumper like the picture. I will make sure there is 3-4” of ground clearance when load so not to kick up rocks. Also thinking of installing a 4” wide piece of mud flap on the inside which would deflect any rocks. Just clamped a picece for visualization... Thoughts?
