So I just picked up a 2007 summit 600 SDI for my wife with 4000 km on it. When I pulled the primary clutch off to clean it up I found a lot of grease built up around where the crank shaft comes out. I have never come across this with any of the XP or XM models I have owned so I'm not too sure what this means?

Is it normal to have grease build up here on a Rev or do I have a damaged seal that needs to be replaced?

Crank seal is most likely leaking. Buy a new seal, re pack bearing and install new seal. Do a leak test to check mag seal also, or pull that side apart to check.
