just was outside and happened to look at my rear axle and noticed i have an inner boot starting to come apart....glad i caught it now rather than in the middle of a swamp but my question is how much of job is it to get the trailing arm off to get the axle out?

not sure about any special tool.. I replaced one of my boots last year without much trouble.. took some time because I hadn't done it before, but it wasn't difficult to figure out. I think there was some video's on youtube in reference to this.
