Sept 2010
I've just been notified that Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation will be
proceeding with public consultation to redesignate the North Bruderheim
Natural Area and Redwater Natural Area in Sturgeon County as Provincial
Recreation Areas AND to add approximately 261 hectares of public land to the
North Bruderheim Natural Area and approximately 380 hectares to the Redwater
Natural Area to assist with managing off-highway vehicle use.

The notification will be posted on the Alberta Parks website tomorrow with
on-line consultation taking place for 60 days (August 27 - October 25).

Go to Gov of Alberta, Tourisum, Parks and Rec.
Look for Parks.
Proposal to Re-classify RW and NB Natural Areas.
And while you are there take a look at the Land Reference Manual, All you ever wanted to know about Alberta Parks of all Kinds. and there are maps/JPEGS for all of these areas.

The Redwater Natural Area has had a reserve area attached to it since it was set up, in fact the crapper on the north parking lot is sitting on this reserve, and it looks like it is now going to be placed under the protection of the Natural Area.
