I know there was a thread on this before but i couldnt find it.
Straight to the point, red jerry can. Want it black. Can i paint it?

Probably not a good idea. The vapors from the gas will just eat the paint away.

for plastic, use krylon paint. like mentioned not sure about the vapours and or spillage will do on the paint. you can always just buy a black can

I remember that thread and seem to think someone discussed "dying" the fuel can.... I don't think you can buy black gas cans. Legally need to be red I believe.

i havnt found anywhere to buy em cause i have the ski-doo one but im not worried about spillage cuase thats what the nozzle is for lol just hate red... i remeber seeing that the plastic absorbs the paint. dont need that in my gas

Yeah I used the ez liner in a spray can and sprayed my trailer deck with it before installing my superglides. It'd probly work for the gas can too

dye dont work.....I put a jerry can in a bucket full of the dye and acetone for 3 days and gave up!it only works on certain plastic but not jerry cans!
