I have a 06X REV and have been contemplating the mod as my next task. Have taked to a few mod freaks and they said it can be done. With a pretty good weight loss and way less rotating mass. What I was going to do is run a camo 2 1/2, 3pitch track with 1 tooth smaller drivers. But don't qoete me yet, as I have not reasearch too much yet, this will be next summers job. I'm sure you should be able to get a driver that fits the XP track that matches your shaft.

Isn't it just an easy track swap? Drivers should be the same, at least I hope so! I just finished a drop and roll and got a 154" off a XP.

I'm thinking different track pitch=different drivers, that's why it's a 154 instead of a 151 isn't it?

XP uses a 2.8 pitch and Rev uses 2.5 pitch. If you are changing tracks, you nhave to buy drivers. Doo may have them this year as an accessory or check Wahl drivers, I know they have a 2.86 pitch 8 tooth driver for about 130.00 each.
I have a 162 16 wide Challenger 2.3 lug that would go in to a Rev without changing drivers. I went to a 174 so now this is for sale. 500.00

Can't remember off the top of my head what the 06 driveshaft is like but the XP is a hydroformed driveshaft. If the 06 is a hex driveshaft, the drivers won't fit, regardless of the pitch.

Whal makes the 2.86 drivers to fit the rev shaft. Doo may be making them for the guys that want to go to the XP track. Polaris also uses a 2.86 pitch driver and a hydroformed drive shaft.

Thanks for the info guys, I guess my choices are change drivers or put my 159" track and get rail/tunnel extensions. At least I have a few days to get her done.

My plan was to go from my 159 to the XP 163, change drivers, put on big wheel kit, don't think I would have to extend tunnel? I think with all this, It would still be a little bit liter and less rotating mass. At least this was my theory. Any one got pro's con's.

No-Slip Drive Sprocket, 2.86" Pitch, 8 Tooth, 1 1/16"-1 1/18" He
Wahl Part Number: 02-593 $91.95

Following the pursuit of some of the OEM's and Camoplast; Wahl Brothers have built a sprocket that will allow the aftermarket consumer to use new tracks that will be available in 2008. Polaris currently offers a 155" with a 2.86" pitch as well as Ski-Doo. Much of the Ski-Doo line-up will incorporate the 2.86" pitch into their sleds.

This sprocket is an 8 tooth, 2.86" pitch drive sprocket. It has a diameter of 7.2" making it comparable to a 9 tooth, 2.52" pitch driver. Available in two broach sizes. Sold individually.**Note that rail tips may have to be trimmed.

Please choose ONE of the shaft sizes below, 1", 1 1/16" or 1 1/8".

WHAT SIZE HEX SHAFT SHOULD I ORDER? Use this handy guide!

1" - - - - Polaris, Pre-Edge, & Gen II

1 1/16"- Arctic Cat, Polaris Edge, post ’95 Yamaha

1 1/8"- - Wahl Titanium & ZX platform Ski-Doo’s and new REV's

1 1/4"- - Pre ZX & Arctic King Cat

*Note: For tighter sprocket fit, 1" wheels may be pressed on1 1/16" shaft.

Wahl Brothers Snowmobile Racing

I think this is the right driver! I copy and pasted the above from the Wahl site.

I did my 04 summit Rev last year.Mine was a 151 and I put it to 154 xp track. You need to go to 2.86 pitch driver which ski doo makes that fits a rev drive shaft. The drivers are off of a 2007 MXZ Racer 440 part # 504152552 ($65 per driver) and the track I used was 154 XP part # 504152800.Next thing you need to do is a 1" suspension set back if you look inside your tunnel at the front where the holes are to mount the suspension there is another spot to drill the holes through the bracket , same at the rear drop down brackets. Also you will need to go to 8" big wheel kit. It made a huge differance on my sled it dropped the track weight from 67 lbs to 48 lbs.If you need some help doing it PM.
