Hi folks having trouble replacing a platestator on doo 2001 8oo
Have the recoil apart and the large nut off the crank tried a gear puller to remove the rotor off the crank but no luck any help or suggestions would be appreciated

when you have the puller tightened up tap the end of the puller with a hammer or maybe even try an impact

i recently had to get that same piece off of my bro's 02 800 zx and we had to get the proper puller at BRP. Put the sled on a trailer and go to your dealer. Most of the time they will come outside and pop it off for you, give him 10-20 bucks and its done.

as I suspected need the right tool for the job have ordered the same
you would think after the dealer collects his 350 plus tax they would say hey you need our special tool to replace that part

anyway tool will be here next week and once i am done the job tool will go in my tool box if anybody needs to borrow it just send an email

i would be happy to lend it out as long as it comes back
