Again I have to thanks Rusty for stopping by the cabin to continue the wiring.
Saturday TylerG stopped by for Brews and later Mod900 and his daughter dropped in as well. Must have been fun...both had to stay (No Can Drive Officer).
To add to the excitement of the weekend we had a "Near Miss" for a fire next door and had Fire Engines everywhere...
1. Rusty doing the Electrical Thing.
2. Rusty and TylerG having a Brew (union rules according to Rusty...Beer every hour).
3. Summitric, Sledbunnyracing, TylerG & Rusty.
4. Mod 900 and TylerG at the fire.
5. Mod 900's Daughter...Val.
6. Summitric & TylerG

What lake is your cabin on SBR? Wifey and I are looking for a cabin right now. We found a couple at Denare Beach back home; but 15 hrs is a long drive to get to a cabin a couple of times a summer.:)

My nephew Kevin Nivon lives at Denare...nice place to call home.

We are at Pigeon Lake, one hour south of Edmonton, on the south side of the lake near Black Bull Golf Course. Bought land many years ago when an average person could afford it.

Lots of nice cabins within 3 hours of the city but it depends on the kind of lake you want...swimming was important to us, not fishing.

1. It must be completely thawed.
2. Insert it just a little at a time and then pull it out of the oil..keep doing until fully submerged
3. 14 lb turkey takes roughly 47 minutes...there is a time guide with out instructions that we use.
4. Enjoy!!!

It's a good idea to pat it dry with a paper towel inside and out, water is what makes the volcano erupt.

yup, how true.... Dry it off thoroughly.... Water and 350* canola oil don't mix - tends to almost explode.... Be sure to fill the cooker to the proper level too(you don't want the oil spilling over the top when the turkey is submersed.... Will cause fire/explosion/eruption(get the point?)
