So we are working out way through our home painting and other renovations. Got to these 2 walls and decided to get a quote to get them done. Never had a painter do anything. Anyone know what would be reasonable for these 2 walls?

Price of lumber is still high so 150% more than precovid.

First quote came in at $950, labor only, we supply the paint.
I was expecting around $500-$600. Guess I'm out to lunch

Your house layout looks very similar to my sons. To save some bucks they hired all that vault ceiling painting to a company then did the easy stuff themselves.

My guess is it's one of those things were it's almost a minimum charge as it's multiple trips and you could probably get 2-3 times more painted for very little extra in price. But it does still seem high for only labour, good money even if a guy spent 2 full days on it when in reality it's likely half that.

Since Covid started and people are painting their own homes I’ve probably done 40 great rooms and high stairwells for people. They were trapped at home so they did all the easy walls them selves
