I was hoping to get some help piecing together an electric start kit for my 98 Summit 670x. I did some searching around the net and found that the parts I need (I think) are,

Ring gear for starter
Elec start voltage regulator
Starter and mount
Elec start wiring harness (with all the connections)

Can poach these parts from other models of Ski Doos from that era (s2000 chassis)?
Does anyone have pics of the parts I need? Part Numbers?
Tips and tricks?

Thanks. I dont know what to look for though. I know what I have. I have looked at the diagrams. Elec start was not an option on my sled so I dont know what, from any other sleds, would fit and work with mine.

I have a 500 summit with e start that I just got working again the other day. I can try and snap a few pictures of it. The starter bolts somewhere to the front of the engine. The battery sits in behind the air box. You could easily just build a starter circuit from any starter relay for a vehicle. There must be a regulator somewhere as I do get 12vdc back from the mag to keep battery charged.

Did you piece the kit together yourself or did it come OEM? I would love to see some pics of the mounting points. I cant seem to find any decent ones on the net.

The relay is on the starter on this one. It’s wired directly to the battery and the wire to toggle the relay comes from the key. Hope this helps.
