Heated Visor

My buddy is having problems finding a wire with 12 volts that he can tie into for his heated visor. He can get 1.8 volts but not 12. He does have a multi meter. His sled is a 2002 RMK 800. Anyone be able to give me an idea where or what color wire to look for to get the proper volts?

i tied mine into the heated grips or you can go directly to your voltage regulator

Yes, tie into the yellow at the voltage regulator. The other lead from the heated visor goes to ground. He is probably trying to read DC voltage on the meter. It should be on the AC range and voltage should be around 15 volts to ground on a yellow wire.
