What does eveyone get for mileage when hauling your enclosed trailer? I have been getting around 10 mpg with a 6 litre gas and was looking to install a cold air intake to help out. Anyone done this?

Thats Actually Pretty Good Gas Mileage For A 6.0l CHEV Pulling A Trailer. Cold Air Kit Will Help A Little, And A Chip Would Probably Help A Little Too......... We've Put Lots In And Both Items Really Doo Help With Power And Most Claim Gas Mileage Increases Too.

We did a trip a few years ago and I had my Duramax with a deck and a 2 place trailer. The other rig was a Duramax with a 4 place enclosed trailer.
We ran very colse to the speed limit to McBride and back and both rigs got 13 mpg.

I run an 05 F350 with a Banks Cold Air kit, Banks Exhaust, and a Predator programmer. I average 15 mpg pulling a 24' enclosed. 21 mpg empty. 14 pulling 32' holiday fifth wheel.

Thanks everyone, I did not think that 10mpg was that bad as I only get around 15 empty anyways.

Pulling the 30 ft travel trailer in the summer is about the same.

Thanks

I got an 07 D-max. We just went to Mcbride and had somewhat of a head wind. I had a two place deck on with two sleds and got 16-17 mpg. When I`m towing my three place inclosed I get a little better mileage.
