Well rode Grave Prairie area again today got some fresh snow over night 2-3" up top...it ended up covering our tracks from last night. We spent most of the day just venturing off in to new areas...some of them got pretty interesting All in all it was a good day. Koko Claims and area tomorrow.

Thanks for the update Pawel. We are coming down tomorrow and staying in the CNP. Planning on riding Elkford on Friday or Saturday.

Crossing Creek Trail won't be groomed until it is colder and some fresh snow falls. Expect it to be a little rough.....

trails not too bad up the claims, getting a bit bumpy. A slab avalanche was set off in behind mear lake yesterday. be careful out there!

Was it up in the play area at the very top or on one of the large slide areas? Just curious.....

it was way up around back just past where you would go into the meadow and then go right, just before the shoot. I take back the part about the trail being ok, it's a roller coaster now!

It's strange how it starts to mogul and then it really moguls, eh!

Guess we better think about doing a groom. Not much snow on the bottom and we are still hitting rocks/dirt so I keep hoping for some snow in the valley. The top is good to groom but the valley areas (Elk and the Bull) suck for snow depth.

Thanks for the info. In my world of things, that has the moniker of "Cowboy Basin" for the shadow of the cowboy image on the snow. It is one of the "sub-divisions" of the Mear Lake area.....
