Hi, I have a 1996 zrt 600. I seem to have developed a coolant leak, it seems like the leak gets worse when the engine warms up. I am having trouble locating the leak, it seems like it is between the front cooler and behind the water pump on the front of the engine. It basically drips right underneath the motor, i have the skid plate off, but there is metal frame in the way of locating the leak. does anybody have any ideas of what it could be? or would engine removal be the best bet? Thanks for reading.

Use a cooling system pressure tester and get yourself a small mirror that you can fish around in all the nooks and crannies with.

There will be a hole that leaks when the water pump leaks past the seals.

A weep hole.

yes it was just as you had said, i couldn't see it with the skid plate off, so i stuck a piece of paper under the motor and on top of the "frame" and ran it for a bit to see if the coolant got on the paper and it did, so i began tearing into the water pump from there.
