It's customs that delays it. Takes 3 weeks to get into customs then sits there up to 10 days for Chinese shipments it seems.

I have mine in 5 days delivered to my door. I payed the additional $5 shipping fee for DHL. Worth the money.

I am rarely in a hurry for things. Free is free. I believe the next option when I bought mine was $20. On a $80 camera free was good enough :)

They also have a mini camera now that I haven't seen before called the Cube. Not sure if its new. Maybe that one is old???

There is an SJ5000 though. That is new.

Got mine last week. Played around with it at work a bit and thought the video quality was really good......then realized I still had the protective film on the lens. Can't wait to see how much better it'll be with that removed! I must say though, the mounting system and controls are a PITA. Never really looked that closely at a Go-pro before. My Drift is much easier to use.

I found the battery life to not be as good as my previous go pro.

The mounts are the same as the go pro.

I saw on Groupon that there is a Drift knock off now for a good price.. Anyone have intel on these?

It doesn't indicate the FPS in 1080, but I am sure it isn't 60.. LOL\

Gear Pro 16MP 1080p HD Action Camera | Groupon

  • EDIT: Just found the spec..
  • 1080p (1920 x 1080) @ 30FPS
  • 720p (1280 x 720) @ 60FPS
  • VGA (640 x 480) @ 120FPS

Mine came with a cheap Chinese one. It works fine. So unless you are going to record in 1080 which is really a waste for most helmet cam footage and Internet videos I would just get a cheap one.

The only issue I have seen so far with mine is the battery life could be better. But that is leaving the wifi on all the time. Haven't tried it without. Mine also came with two batteries.
