We got out in the Wainwright training area on Sunday and let me tell you.........95km and we only scratched the surface. We are working on having a rally there but legal issues are hampering us. It's nothing like the Rocky area but nice long trails.

That and stay out of any artilary ranges. They are full of unexploded munitions.

They used to have a hunting draw for that base but not sure if they still do.

What kind of terrain is it? Are the trails treed in, hilly, sand/dirt/gravel, mud/skeg, etc., creeks/rivers, beginner/intermediate/advanced?

They use to a rally out of edgerton. It would run through community pasture and bordered the range. Some pretty sweet dunes and hills

Huge variety of terrain, lots of sand, gravel trees, hills, mud(depending on the time of year). Can't cross any streams unless its using a bridge. Would be a kick a$$ place to have some dealer sponsors test drive units. Most is beginner to intermediate but there are also parts I wouldn't take a tank.

There is a safety brief that you need which is about 15-30min and also depends if there are any manoeuvres going on, and it's 5 smackers for a day pass if you with a member of the base club.
