Caroline ab, sled rally

Read in the local paper yesterday that Caroline will be holding their poker rally either the 4th or 5th of Jan 09, is this correct?

Haven't heard anything myself but the 5th is a monday and the 9th is a friday. It might be the 4th, that's a sunday.

how much snow do they have....would it be worth the 6hr drive??

Confirmed rally date with club menber for the 4th of Jan. It will leave from Phyllis Lake west of Caroline. I will be in Revelstoke then, hope the weather is willing to participate.

posters are up at sled shops,

Starts at 10am
$5/hand $20/5 hands

Usually a good time as long as they let sleds go before quads.
Following quads is definitely a pain in the a$$. slow and stuck all the time, and definitely chew up the trail. can't see them being much fun to ride rough and cold

My buddy says there is 14" west of Sundre

There is a good 10 -12" in Caroline, seen quite a few tracks in the ditches east of caroline on the way to work, i dont know how much snow has settled in the bush, have not been in there since hunting season.
