As thecheyner mentioned, weight savings, 163 price, but what about strength or durability? Could I assume snow and ice are less likely to stick to the carbon fibre?
We are making a video tutorial soon but it is bolted and bonded to the bulkhead just like the factory one. It is way more rigid than the factory tunnel, as well as been about 30% lighter. The tunnel weight is 10.2 pounds for just the carbon fiber section. 155" and 163" are the same price at $2500.
We will be making a tutorial shortly. It attaches and bonds to the to the factory bulk head. All bonding epoxy is included with the tunnel. There is a 30% weight savings in the carbon fiber section. The 163" is the same price as the 155" at $2500.
Snow and ice, for the most part, does not stick to the carbon fiber and therefore reduces the build up in the tunnel saving additional added weight. Carbon fiber is significantly stronger and durable than the factory tunnel. Our tunnel also has a Kevlar layer adding to its strength.
